Novak has it right

This blog is hopefully aptly named. We were clogging our inboxes with stories of the days events. Now we are going to just post them. We could have have called this blog toomuchmetalforonehand (which is available by the way), but that wouldn't have captured what we are trying to do here. Hope you enjoy our little rants.

Though Novak makes some fair points (Hillary infuriating some Democrats, especially Obama supporters, with her VP bid; the passion of Hillary supporters, especially among women; that reconciliation is going to be difficult), but I would be wary of anything leaving the mouth of this douchebag extraordinaire. In particular, her claim to winning the popular vote only works if you leave out Iowa, Nevada, Maine, and Washington state (the caucuses did not release official vote numbers, but an RCP count gives the edge to Obama with these states). Novak's bringing up the unity ticket also works in the GOP's favor -- their major line of attack for Obama will be that he is no different than any other politician, he represents no change. He has benefited from lobbyists, engaged in rough politics in Chicago, is the typical liberal elitist, etc. With Hillary on the ticket, their claim is further supported. I think Novak knows this, and I question his motivations (as I do anyone who writes any political piece these days -- got to love Wikipedia for being able to look someone up and learn their biases quickly).
